Title:Complete nitrate and sulfide removal was achieved during reactor operation with sulfide as the electron donor. Results support the utilization of lithotrophic denitrification is alternative to the conventional heterotrophic denitrification process for the treatment of nitrified wastewaters using sulfur compounds as electron donor when organic carbon is limited.
