Title:The anaerobic oxidation of dissolved hydrogen sulfide to elemental sulfur by the phototroph P. aestuarii was studied in continuous cultures. The simultaneous application of infrared LED (light-emitting diode) and white fluorescent lamps provided a 35% increase in the maximum sulfur removal rate.
